HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the members of the LeRoy High School Panthers boys basketball team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A Boys Basketball State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The LeRoy Panthers defeated Chicago Leo 38-35 to secure victory in the IHSA Class 1A Boys Basketball State Championship; the team ended their season with a phenomenal 28-5 record; and

WHEREAS, This victory marks the first IHSA Boys Basketball State Championship victory for the LeRoy Panthers; and

WHEREAS, The members of the LeRoy Panthers are Nick Albert, Trae Moberly, Cade Clarke, Andrew Umstattd, Dalton Noe, Trey Meyer, Paul Brent, Noah Perry, Matt Chastain, Teddy Harms, Brett Egan, Logan Meaders, Cody Morgan, Dylan Knudsen, and Nick Perry; the team's head coach is Mark Edmundson and the assistant coaches are Wayne Meyer, Miles Morris, and Brady Fritcher; and

WHEREAS, The members of the LeRoy Panthers serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the LeRoy High School Panthers boys basketball team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A Boys Basketball State Championship and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the LeRoy High School Panthers boys basketball team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
