HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association was founded in 1925 by eight small manufacturing companies who chose to create an association in order to better represent their members, add value, and serve their industry; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Technology and Manufacturing Association members have established programs and services to help their businesses grow and prosper, train their employees, and provide medical and retirement benefits, thereby assisting in the development of the global competitiveness of its members; and

WHEREAS, As a result of these efforts, the Technology and Manufacturing Association has grown into a 1,000-member not-for-profit organization of precision manufacturing and supplier companies representing 30,000 employees throughout Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Technology and Manufacturing Association has served as a valued source of employee learning and development for member companies and has evolved into a leader in hands-on training and workforce development by continually expanding the scope of its educational offerings to meet the evolving needs of its members and manufacturing students of all walks of life; and

WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association is a leading voice in an evolving manufacturing industry and a major economic driver and job creator for Illinois; the organization has worked on behalf of its members to raise the level of awareness of the importance of manufacturing through its advocacy programs at the local, state, and federal levels; and

WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Technology and Manufacturing Association on the occasion of its 90th anniversary and wholeheartedly recognize the organization for its lasting contributions to the State of Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Chief Executive Officer of the Technology and Manufacturing Association.
