1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Benet Academy girls
4 basketball team, the Redwings, on winning the 2016 Illinois
5 High School Association Class 4A Basketball Championship; and

6     WHEREAS, The Redwings defeated top-ranked William Fremd
7 High School 42 to 39 at Redbird Arena at Illinois State
8 University in Normal; and

9     WHEREAS, This is the second consecutive championship for
10 the Redwings, having previously won the Class 4A title in 2015;
11 and

12     WHEREAS, The Redwings compiled a season record of 32 wins
13 and 3 losses; therefore, be it

14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 congratulate the Benet Academy girls basketball team, the
17 Redwings, on winning the 2016 Illinois High School Association
18 Class 4A Basketball Championship and we wish them many more
19 years of success; and be it further

20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1 presented to the Redwings as an expression of our esteem and
2 respect.
