| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Darren W. | 4 | | Josten of Herrin, who passed away on February 5, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Darren Josten was born in Herrin to Dan W. and | 6 | | Carol L. (nee Butterio) Josten on April 30, 1967; he graduated | 7 | | from Herrin High School in 1986; he was first married to Diann | 8 | | Cox; he was then united in marriage to Christy Brandon on April | 9 | | 24, 2015; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Darren Josten was employed at J & J Coins in | 11 | | Herrin; he formerly worked at Maytag in Herrin; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Darren Josten was a member of Christian Covenant | 13 | | Fellowship Church in Carterville; he loved cars, especially | 14 | | anything MOPAR, and could often be found in his garage working | 15 | | on cars; his favorite was a 1955 Dodge Rat-Rod affectionately | 16 | | called "Mater"; he was passionate about supporting his 3 boys | 17 | | in all of their endeavors; he was always their number one fan, | 18 | | whether it be tennis, basketball, or football; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Darren Josten was preceded in death by his | 20 | | maternal grandparents, Olive and Frank Butterio, and his | 21 | | paternal grandparents, Carmeletha and Kenny Josten; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Darren Josten is survived by his wife, Christy; | 2 | | his 3 sons, Dakota Josten, Hunter Jordan, and Gavin Jordan; his | 3 | | parents, Dan and Carol Josten; his father-in-law and | 4 | | mother-in-law, the Rev. Ralph and Barbara Brandon; his aunt and | 5 | | uncle, Glenda and Randie Griffin; his extended family, Linda | 6 | | and Larry Cox; his several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, | 7 | | and cousins; and his faithful companion, Buddy; therefore, be | 8 | | it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 11 | | mourn the passing of Darren W. Josten, and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | him; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Darren Josten as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy.
