215 ILCS 5/355c new

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that an insurer may not remove a provider from their provider directory until the last day of the end date of the original contract between the insurer and the provider.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding Section 355c as follows:

(215 ILCS 5/355c new)

Sec. 355c. Inclusion in provider directory until the end of the contract. An insurer may not remove a provider from their provider directory until the last day of the end date of the original contract between the insurer and the provider.
