SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
110 ILCS 805/3-29.8

    Amends the Community College Districts Article of the Public Community College Act. Provides that if the board of trustees of a community college district issues a monetary severance package to a district employee using State funds, the exact amount of that monetary severance package shall be deducted from the next disbursement from the State Comptroller to that district. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning education.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended by
5changing Section 3-29.8 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 805/3-29.8)
7    Sec. 3-29.8. Administrator and faculty salary and
8benefits; report. Each board of trustees shall report to the
9Board of Higher Education, on or before July 1 of each year,
10the base salary and benefits of the president or chief
11executive officer of the community college and all
12administrators, faculty members, and instructors employed by
13the community college district. For the purposes of this
14Section, "benefits" includes without limitation vacation days,
15sick days, bonuses, annuities, and retirement enhancements.
16    If the board of trustees issues a monetary severance
17package to an employee of the community college district using
18State funds, the exact amount of that monetary severance
19package shall be deducted from the next disbursement from the
20State Comptroller to that community college district under
21Section 2-16.02 of this Act.
