SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

305 ILCS 5/12-4.49 new

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires the Department of Human Services to reinstate the work requirements established under the SNAP Employment and Training Program (also known as the Food Stamp Employment and Training Program) for adults without a dependent.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by adding Section 12-4.49 as follows:

(305 ILCS 5/12-4.49 new)

Sec. 12-4.49. Reinstatement of work requirements. The Department of Human Services shall reinstate the work requirements established under the SNAP Employment and Training Program (also known as the Food Stamp Employment and Training Program) for adults without a dependent.
