SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Victor Bryan Clark of Andalusia, who
4passed away on February 9, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Victor Clark was born to Arthur B. and Mary Rose
6(Johnson) Clark in Flagler, Colorado on November 13, 1935; he
7married Margaretha Schmalzl in Innsbruck, Austria on September
820, 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Victor Clark served in and retired from the U.S.
10Army, receiving an honorable discharge after 20 years of
11service; during his military service, he received several
12recognitions and awards; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Victor Clark enjoyed playing cards and dice; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Victor Clark was a family man and enjoyed
15spending time with his family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Victor Clark was preceded in death by his parents
17and six siblings; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Victor Clark is survived by his wife of 68 years,
19Margaretha; his daughter, Margarethe (Roger) Krueger; his

1grandchildren, Tara (Eric) Keith and Aaron (Heather) Krueger;
2his great-grandchildren, Jacob Peterson, Kyle Krueger, Jensen
3Peterson, and Dallas Krueger; his great-great-grandchildren,
4Hazel and Ryleigh; his sister-in-law, Marianne Atnip; and his
5nephew, Roman Atnip; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Victor Bryan Clark and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Victor Clark as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
