SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

5 ILCS 490/207 new
    Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the month of April of each year is designated as Child Abuse Prevention Month to be observed throughout the State to promote the awareness and prevention of child abuse in the State.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5 adding Section 207 as follows:

6     (5 ILCS 490/207 new)
7     Sec. 207. Child Abuse Prevention Month. The month of April
8 of each year is designated as Child Abuse Prevention Month to
9 be observed throughout the State to promote the awareness and
10 prevention of child abuse in the State.
