SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony Michael "Tony" Ryan of Oak Park, who passed away on November 20, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Tony Ryan was born on January 29, 1975 in Jacksonville to Catherine and John Ryan; he graduated from Waverly High School in 1993 and from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1997, with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; he married Alexandra on April 28, 2001; and

WHEREAS, Tony Ryan and his family settled in Oak Park in 2004 and he began working at Sargent & Lundy, LLC. in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Tony Ryan was active with St. Giles Catholic Parish in Oak Park, especially with the Family Mass community; he enjoyed genealogy, history, astronomy, and taking road trips with his family; and

WHEREAS, Tony Ryan was preceded in death by his father, John; and

WHEREAS, Tony Ryan is survived by his wife, Alexandra; his daughters, Emma, Abigail, and Samantha; his mother, Catherine; his siblings, Ann Manning, Rita Robson, Mary Hickerson, Gina Hawk, John Ryan, and Brother Joseph Ryan, Order of Saint Benedict; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and an entire community of faith; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anthony Michael "Tony" Ryan, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who new and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tony Ryan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
