SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Virginia "Ginny" Gangloff Baahlmann, who passed away on November 1, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Baahlmann was born on April 10, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri; her parents were Roy and Viola (Boice) Gangloff; she married Dr. Ralph Baahlmann, Sr. on June 14, 1952 in Aviston; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Baahlmann enjoyed golfing and played for many years as a member of Lockhaven Country Club with her husband; she was an accomplished artist and painted many beautiful pictures; she also loved working in her garden, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Baahlmann was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Baahlmann is survived by her children, Ralph H. Baahlmann, Jr., Mark G. Baahlmann, Barbara M. (Dr. Tobin) Boyd, Matthew L. (Teri) Baahlmann, Nancy E. (Tom) Reese, and John L. (Nancy) Baahlmann; her grandchildren, Matthew and Jill Baahlmann, Matthew (Kortney) Korte, Nick Korte, Megan and Christopher Springman, Grace and Jacob Reese, and Ashley (Anthony) Kaid; her great-grandchildren, Keagan Korte, Haylee Kaid, and Piper Springman; her half-sister, Karen Ingraham; and her half-brother, Jim Boice; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Virginia "Ginny" Gangloff Baahlmann; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Virginia Baahlmann as an expression of our sympathy.
