SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William K. Siglar, who passed away on April 25, 2013; and

WHEREAS, William Siglar was born on October 13, 1930, in Nebo; his parents were Guy and Alice Lee Siglar; he married the former Lillian Fessler on February 8, 1952, in Pocahontas, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, William Siglar served his country with pride as a member of the United States Air Force for 21 years; and

WHEREAS, William Siglar served as a postal clerk with the United States Postal Service until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, William Siglar was a member of Wood River Masonic Lodge No. 1062, East Alton American Legion Post 794, Wood River VFW Post 2859, and Wood River Moose Lodge 1349; and

WHEREAS, William Siglar was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce Willeford; and

WHEREAS, William Siglar is survived by his wife; his sons, Bill Siglar, Dallas Siglar, and Joey Siglar; his daughter, Linda M. Siglar; his grandchildren, Joni Ann, Christopher, and Tammy Siglar; his great-grandchildren, Ryan and April Siglar, Damion Lindsay, and Ariana Lavigne; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William K. Siglar; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Siglar as an expression of our sympathy.
