SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Camillus Joachim Wurtz of Pocahontas, Arkansas, who passed away on April 14, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz was born on August 16, 1921, in Pocahontas, Arkansas; his parents were Peter A. and Mary T. Wurtz; and

WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II; he earned 4 Bronze Stars for his meritorious service; and

WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz retired from his business, Builders Plumbing and Heating, in 1982, after many years of dedicated service to his community; and

WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Esther; his parents; his brothers, Zeno and Sylvan; and his sisters, Juanita, Rosemary, and Beatrice; and

WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz is survived by his sons Sid (Rita) Wurtz and Ron (Judy) Wurtz; his daughters, Camille (Joe) Myers and Juanita (Joe) Cofer; his 7 grandchildren; his 6 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Joanne DeGregorio; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Camillus Joachim Wurtz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Camillus Wurtz as an expression of our sympathy.
