SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Helen Beiser of Alton, who passed away on March 31, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Helen Beiser was born on October 10, 1932, in Alton to Leroy H. "Roy" and Edwina (Bailey) Beiser; she graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1950; and

WHEREAS, Helen Beiser retired from Illinois Bell Telephone in 1984; she was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, Helen Beiser was preceded in death by her brothers, John F. and Robert L. Beiser; her sister, Jane Beiser; her sister-in-law, Agnes Beiser; and her brother-in-law, Rodger Penning; and

WHEREAS, Helen Beiser is survived by her sister, Mary Penning; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Beiser; her nieces and nephews, John (Pam) Beiser, Dan (Terri) Beiser, Elaine (Don) Withers, Joe (Jan) Penning, Helen Ann (Dave) Fowler, Martha (Darrell) Smith, Mary (Dave) Boulds, Paul (Debbie) Penning, Bob (Margarete) Beiser, Julie (Rob) Huecker, and Michael (Julie) Beiser; and numerous great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Helen Beiser and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Helen Beiser as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
