SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mildred E. "Mikki" Reinhold (nee Phelps) of Oak Park, who passed away on May 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold was born on July 12, 1914 in Brookfield to Orville and Jennie Phelps; she graduated from Cossitt Avenue School in La Grange and Lyons Township High School; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold worked for years as an executive secretary in Chicago and as the church secretary for 17 years at Congress Park Community Methodist Church in Brookfield; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold enjoyed traveling in both the United States and Canada and also traveled to Iceland; she was the 2004 queen of the Oak Park Arms annual Senior Prom; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Reinhold; her brother, Bud Phelps; and her sister, Doris Beintema; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold is survived by her niece, Gayle (Paul) Brinkman; her nephew, John Beintema; 8 grand-nieces and grand-nephews; 10 great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews; and a host of friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mildred E. "Mikki" Reinhold, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mildred Reinhold as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
