HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James
4Willis Robinson of San Diego, California, who passed away on
5January 17, 2013; and
 
6    WHEREAS, James Robinson was born on July 26, 1938, in Pine
7Bluff, Arkansas, to Jimmie Louis and Virginia Robinson; he was
8baptized at the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Pine
9Bluff; he graduated from Wabbaseka High School in 1957 and
10attended business college in Chicago; he married Edna Monroe;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, James Robinson moved to San Diego in 1971 and
13worked for the Mitchell-Pacific Development construction
14company and the Coronado Navel Station; and
 
15    WHEREAS, James Robinson was dedicated to the deaconship at
16Paradise Baptist Church and he could always be counted on to
17perform his duties passionately; and
 
18    WHEREAS, James Robinson was preceded in death by his
19parents; his wife; his son, Harold; and his sister, Bettye
20Joann; and

1    WHEREAS, James Robinson is survived by his sisters, Pamela
2P. (Sammie) Turner and Tamela E. (Walter) Philmon; his
3daughters, Diane Petty, Glenda K. Bridges, and Regina Robinson;
4his step-children, Barbara Monroe and Dexter Monroe; his
5sister-in-law, Mary Jones; his uncles, Vernon Robinson and A.W.
6Robinson; his 5 grandchildren; his 3 great-grandchildren; his
7nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his Paradise church
8family; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we mourn the passing of James Robinson, and we extend our
12sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of James Robinson as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
