HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize Linda Zimmerman on her 20 years of service to the one-room schoolhouse located in Hoosier Grove Park in Streamwood; and

WHEREAS, Linda Zimmerman has provided untiring and inspirational service as a docent and museum educator in the last surviving one-room schoolhouse in the State; and

WHEREAS, During Linda Zimmerman's years of service, she took visitors from local neighborhoods and foreign countries into a time capsule glimpse of what it was like to be a student in a 1900-era one-room schoolhouse and their everyday life; every visitor left the schoolhouse with knowledge they did not have before; and

WHEREAS, Linda Zimmerman's dedication, professionalism, and personal enthusiasm are geared toward hands-on tours, and produces museum quality exhibits and displays that are a testament to her remarkable character; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize Linda Zimmerman on her 20 years of service to the one-room schoolhouse located in Hosier Grove Park in Streamwood; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Linda Zimmerman as an expression of our esteem and respect.
