SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Christine Fenske of Joliet, who passed
4away on September 18, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Christine M. Fenske (nee, Cowan) was born October
631, 1962 in Joliet to the late Theodore and Joyce (nee, Esser)
7Cowan; she graduated from Joliet West High School with the
8class of 1980 and received a Bachelors degree from the
9University of St. Francis in 1985; and
 
10    WHEREAS, On September 10, 1988, she was united in marriage
11to Michael Fenske at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church; and
 
12    WHEREAS, She was employed at Professional Salon Concepts, a
13family operated company, in Rockdale; she was a member of the
14Visitation and Aid Society and the Cathedral of St. Raymond,
15where she was an active volunteer; she also enjoyed the annual
16Relay for Life and various other community events; and
 
17    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents as well
18as her father-in-law, Arthur Fenske; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Christine Fenske is survived by her husband,
20Michael; her beloved children, Kelsey and Mitchell; she was the

1dear sister of Debra Bacharz and Steven (Terri) Cowan; the
2cherished niece of Lee (Rose) Cowan, Nola Greenen, Allan (Jean)
3Esser, June Andersen, and Gloria (Tom) Stumm; the fond
4daughter-in-law of Joan Fenske; the dearest sister-in-law of
5Jeanne (Michael) Ludwig, Nancy Kent, and Amy (Bart) Henke; many
6nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9her family and friends, the passing of Christine Fenske; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Christine Fenske as a symbol of our
13sincere sympathy.
