SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Christine Fenske of Joliet, who passed away on September 18, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Christine M. Fenske (nee, Cowan) was born October 31, 1962 in Joliet to the late Theodore and Joyce (nee, Esser) Cowan; she graduated from Joliet West High School with the class of 1980 and received a Bachelors degree from the University of St. Francis in 1985; and

WHEREAS, On September 10, 1988, she was united in marriage to Michael Fenske at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, She was employed at Professional Salon Concepts, a family operated company, in Rockdale; she was a member of the Visitation and Aid Society and the Cathedral of St. Raymond, where she was an active volunteer; she also enjoyed the annual Relay for Life and various other community events; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her father-in-law, Arthur Fenske; and

WHEREAS, Christine Fenske is survived by her husband, Michael; her beloved children, Kelsey and Mitchell; she was the dear sister of Debra Bacharz and Steven (Terri) Cowan; the cherished niece of Lee (Rose) Cowan, Nola Greenen, Allan (Jean) Esser, June Andersen, and Gloria (Tom) Stumm; the fond daughter-in-law of Joan Fenske; the dearest sister-in-law of Jeanne (Michael) Ludwig, Nancy Kent, and Amy (Bart) Henke; many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Christine Fenske; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Christine Fenske as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
