SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert W. Bosslet Jr., who passed away on August 20, 2010; and

WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Vianney High School and the University of Missouri; he primarily practiced law in Illinois, and received many honors throughout his career; most notably, he was named a Top Illinois Lawyer and served as president of the Missouri/Southern Illinois Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Madison County Bar Association, and the Tri-City Bar Association; and

WHEREAS, He served on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors, and was a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, From serving on the local planning and zoning commission to his many environmental efforts, he took an active interest in his community; he lived an active lifestyle, swimming or running several miles every day; and

WHEREAS, Robert Bosslet Jr. is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Alissa, nee Gasparovic; his children, Robert, Elliott, and Anne; he was the son of Robert Bosslet Sr. and the late Florence Bosslet, nee Bogucki; and the dear brother of Kenneth Bosslet, Kathleen King, and Timothy Bosslet; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Bosslet Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Bosslet Jr. as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
