SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert W. Bosslet Jr., who passed away on
4August 20, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Vianney High School and the
6University of Missouri; he primarily practiced law in Illinois,
7and received many honors throughout his career; most notably,
8he was named a Top Illinois Lawyer and served as president of
9the Missouri/Southern Illinois Chapter of the American Board of
10Trial Advocates, the Madison County Bar Association, and the
11Tri-City Bar Association; and
 
12    WHEREAS, He served on the Illinois Trial Lawyers
13Association Board of Governors, and was a member of the
14Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Bar Association
15of Metropolitan St. Louis; and
 
16    WHEREAS, From serving on the local planning and zoning
17commission to his many environmental efforts, he took an active
18interest in his community; he lived an active lifestyle,
19swimming or running several miles every day; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Bosslet Jr. is survived by his devoted wife
21of 33 years, Alissa, nee Gasparovic; his children, Robert,

1Elliott, and Anne; he was the son of Robert Bosslet Sr. and the
2late Florence Bosslet, nee Bogucki; and the dear brother of
3Kenneth Bosslet, Kathleen King, and Timothy Bosslet;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7his family and friends, the passing of Robert Bosslet Jr.; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Robert Bosslet Jr. as a symbol of
11our sincere sympathy.
