SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ursula M. Berg of Park City, who passed away on July 25, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born on October 15, 1935 in Germany; she came to the United States in 1960; and

WHEREAS, She was a former employee of the Illinois Tollway, working as a toll collector; she was also a senior advocate for crime stoppers; and

WHEREAS, She was a supporter and volunteer for the Republican Party and enjoyed attending fundraisers, sewing, and other arts and crafts; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her former husband, Gerhard Berg; and her sister, Ruth Franke; and

WHEREAS, Ursula Berg is survived by her sons, Ralph Berg, Carl Berg, and Kurt (Michele) Berg; and her seven grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ursula Berg; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ursula Berg as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
