SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty Carol Menson of Creve Coeur, who passed away on July 10, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born July 5, 1951, in Vallejo, California, to John and Jackie (Franks) Hale; and

WHEREAS, She had worked as director of programs at Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service; she was a member of the Anti-hunger Coalition, the Voices of Illinois Children, and Dress for Success; and she was a member of the Creve Coeur Christian Church; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Howard and Inez Hart; and her two brothers, Billy Hale and Mike Hale; and

WHEREAS, Betty Menson is survived by her mother; her daughter, Deborah Lynn Menson; her son, Michael Lee Menson; her two grandchildren; and her brothers, Bob (Vickie) Hale, Tom (Joyce) Hale, Jerry (Wanda) Hale, and Dan (Julia) Hale; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Betty Menson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Menson as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
