SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Dale "Bird" Sears of Zion, who passed away on March 29, 2010; and

WHEREAS, William Dale "Bird" Sears was born February 3, 1950, in Waukegan, and spent most of his life in North Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He graduated from North Chicago High School in 1968 and served one term with the United States Marines, honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal; he worked most of his life as a mechanic for various dealerships and shops; recently he was an Operating Engineer for Hilton Hotel in Northbrook; and

WHEREAS, He loved hunting, fishing, and camping; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cordelia Dale; his sister; Rita; and his daughter, Heather; and

WHEREAS, William Sears is survived by his wife, Lisa; his daughters, Erica and Annie; his sons, Brendhan, Billy, and Blaine (Danielle Mitchell); his precious granddaughters, Serenity and Kyleigh; his sisters, Diane Mitchell and Nancy Moxey; his brothers, Charles and Sonny; and many nieces and nephews; he will be greatly missed by his special friend, Butch Miscichowski; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William Sears; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Sears as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
