SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur R. Sullivan III of Wellington, Ohio, who passed away on May 29, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Sullivan III was born on May 11, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio; his parents were the late Arthur R. and Norma C. (nee Dymond) Sullivan; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Sullivan III graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio in 1962; he moved to the Wellington, Ohio area in 1982; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Sullivan III was a life long learner; he was an avid reader and loved to talk about politics; he also enjoyed Formula One racing, spending time in nature, spending time with his dogs, traveling, and anything related to the country of Turkey; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Sullivan III is preceded in death by a son, Michael Brendon Sullivan; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Sullivan III is survived by his sisters, Mary Catherine Bryk, Nora (Illinois State Senator David) Koehler, Rae Anne Sullivan, and Theresa (David) Schramm; his brother, Daniel (Terri Meadows) Sullivan; his many nieces and nephews; and his many great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Arthur R. Sullivan III; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arthur Sullivan III as an expression of our sympathy.
