SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of D. Chet McKee of Aurora; and

WHEREAS, D. Chet McKee served as chairman of the Rush-Copley Medical Center Board of Directors from 1986 to 1990; he then served as president and CEO of Rush-Copley from 1990 to 1999; as president, he oversaw the construction of a new $67 million facility on Ogden Avenue in Aurora in the early 1990s; following his service as president and CEO, he remained with the hospital until his retirement in 2006; and

WHEREAS, D. Chet McKee was a member of the Retired Old Men Eating Out senior citizens group; and

WHEREAS, D. Chet McKee is survived by his wife, Linda, and his children, Megan, Mindy, and Matt; and

WHEREAS, D. Chet McKee will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a kind and generous man who was always willing to help out anyone in need; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of D. Chet McKee; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of D. Chet McKee as an expression of our sympathy.
