SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of R. Wayne Johnessee of Alton, who passed
4 away on May 2, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born January 27, 1961, in Alton to Harry R.
6 and Doris (Fisher) Johnessee; Richard married the former
7 Phyllis A. Bruce on August 31, 1984, at St. Matthews Catholic
8 Church in Alton; and
 
9     WHEREAS, The 1979 Alton High School graduate was vice
10 president of Johnessee Construction Inc. and a member of St.
11 Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; he also was a member of Alton
12 Wood River Sportsman Club in Godfrey and the Carpenters Local
13 377 of Alton; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Richard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed
15 fishing, turkey hunting, deer hunting, and goose hunting; he
16 also competed in Outdoorsman Sporting Clay competitions; he
17 enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father-in-law
19 Harry W. Bruce; and
 
20     WHEREAS, R. Wayne Johnessee is survived by his wife,

1 Phyllis; his parents; his children, Adam and Abagail Johnessee;
2 his brother and his spouse, Kevin and Marla Johnessee; his
3 sisters and their spouses, Patty and Randy Heil, Kathy and Brad
4 Travis, Pam and Ken Cox, and Judy and Chad Mitchell; his
5 mother-in-law, Evada Bruce; his sisters-in-law, Penny Lovegren
6 and Patti Smith and her spouse, Bud; his brothers-in-law and
7 their spouses; Maurice and Julie Bruce and Michael and Deb
8 Bruce; therefore, be it
 
9     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11 his family and friends, the passing of R. Wayne Johnessee; and
12 be it further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to the family of R. "Wayne" Johnessee as a symbol of
15 our sincere sympathy.
