SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lucille Tate Tucker of Ewing, who passed away on April 19, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Tucker was born on September 13, 1921, in Benton; she was the daughter of Joseph and Sybil (Browning) Tate; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Tucker served as a volunteer for many years at Franklin Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Tucker was a member of the North Benton Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Tucker was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Roy Tate; her brother; and her 2 sisters; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Tucker is survived by her husband, Earl Tucker; her son, Mike Tate and his wife, Jo; her grandchildren, Scott Tate and his wife, Kathy, and Shawn Tate and his wife, Missi; her great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Courtney, and Zackery; her stepchildren, Teresa Howard and Kevin Tucker; and her 3 step-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lucille Tate Tucker; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucille Tucker as an expression of our sympathy.
