SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel A. Gallagher of Indian Head Park, formerly of Chicago, who recently passed away; and

WHEREAS, Daniel A. Gallagher was currently in private practice as a criminal defense attorney; he was also Assistant State's Attorney in Chicago for many years; and

WHEREAS, He was a Past President of The Chicago Region Porsche Club of America and a current member; he founded the driving events for The Club at Blackhawk Farms, and he was the #1 Chicago Cubs fan; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Gallagher was the beloved son of Alice and the late Daniel; the loving husband of Audrey "Peggy"; the devoted father of Daniel (Susanna Pagliaro), Michael (Tessie), Shannon, Erin Gallagher, and Kelly (Justin) Palmer; the dear grandfather of Aidan Luc, Fiona, Megan, and Kailey; the fond brother of John (Shirley), Kathy (Robert Lewis) Gallagher, Lisa (James) Whetsel, Karen Stewart, and Charleen Rose Gallagher; and the dear uncle of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Daniel A. Gallagher; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel A. Gallagher as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
