SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Linda Welte of Palmyra, who passed away on April 9, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte was born on June 25, 1946, in Peoria; her parents were Lynn and Jean Boatman; she married Tim Welte on June 28, 1964, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte attended and graduated from Carlinville High School in 1964; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte was employed with the Northwestern School District for over 30 years as a bus driver; she also worked as an individual teacher's aide during the last several years of her career; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte was a member of the Palmyra Christian Church for over 25 years; at the time of her passing, she was a member of Carlinville Southern Baptist Church, where she was able to worship with her entire family; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte enjoyed being outside, enjoying the beauty of nature, working on various outside projects, and being with and doing things with her family; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte was preceded in death by her father; and

WHEREAS, Linda Welte is survived by her husband, Tim Welte; her son, Troy Welte; her daughter, Tammy (Bill) Konneker; her granddaughters, Morgan Konneker, Amanda Welte, and Adrian Welte; and her mother; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Linda Welte; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Welte as an expression of our sympathy.
