SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marcille Steiner of Carlinville, who passed away on April 9, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born February 7, 1920, in McVey, the daughter of Fred and Callie (King) Baines; she married Fred Steiner in Farmersville on August 10, 1941; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Steiner graduated from Farmersville High School and was a homemaker; she was a member of St.Paul's United Church of Christ in Carlinville, was the first woman to serve on the church council, and sang in the choir for many years; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; and her three brothers, Melvin, Stewart, and Fred Baines; and

WHEREAS, Marcille Steiner is survived by her son, David (Janet) Steiner; her daughter, Ann Steiner; her brother, Lee Baines; her two sisters, Velda McNew and Virginia Jones; her grandson, Quinn (Stacey) Steiner; her great-granddaughters, Morgan Steiner and Corinne Steiner; and her great-grandson, Michael Byots; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Marcille Steiner; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marcille Steiner as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
