SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anita M. Samuelson of Lake Villa, who passed away on February 15, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born in Chicago on March 31, 1921, the daughter of the late Claire and Otto Wegner; she had been a resident of Lake Villa since 1951, moving there from Chicago; and

WHEREAS, She was a long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4308-Lake Villa; she was a proud grandmother and great grandmother; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her grandson, Jason; and her sisters, Beatrice, Marie, Ruth, and Myrtle; and

WHEREAS, Anita Samuelson is survived by her children, Robert (Barbara) Samuelson, William Samuelson, and Barbara Secketa; her grandchildren, Gail, Robin, Carrie, Kimberly, Kathryn, Scott, and Nick; her 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, William (Rose) Wegner; and her many, many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Anita Samuelson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anita Samuelson as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
