| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 |
| learn of the death of Germaine Rooney; and
| | 4 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on April 22, 1943 and passed away on | | 5 |
| January 31, 2010; and
| | 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Boulder Golf Club and Our | | 7 |
| Lady of Joy Catholic Church; at her Boulder home she enjoyed | | 8 |
| lounging poolside, reading novels, and planning her next world | | 9 |
| travel excursion; she also enjoyed cooking and crocheting | | 10 |
| afghans for her grandchildren; and

| WHEREAS, Germaine Rooney was the beloved wife of John E. | | 12 |
| (Jack) Rooney; the loving mother of Kathleen, John (Kristin) | | 13 |
| Rooney, and Colleen (Ryan) Bradley; the dear grandmother of | | 14 |
| Liam, MaryKate, Hugh, Jack, Jake, Grace, Elaine, Ryan, and | | 15 |
| Leah; and the fond sister of Tom, Gerald, and Lynette; | | 16 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | | 18 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | | 19 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Germaine Rooney; and be | | 20 |
