SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Evelyn R. "Tootie" Greenwalt of Carlinville, who passed away on December 27, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born August 8, 1935, in Carlinville, the daughter of Owen "Speck" and Nettie (Meyers) Rhoads; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Rhoads; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Greenwalt is survived by her husband, Richard C. Greenwalt; her son, Jay Greenwalt (wife, Angie); her daughter, Jana Schweizer (husband, Steve); her daughter, Jodi Valdivieso; her daughter, Jeena Greenwalt; her grandchildren, Aimee Guyer (Will) Sheena Greenwalt, Sam Greenwalt, Hank Greenwalt, Kari Schweizer (fiance, Tyler Unterbrink), Greg Schweizer, Jeff Schweizer, Bailey Valdivieso, Britten Valdivieso, and Daisy Valdivieso; and her sister, Rhonda Caveny-Jones (husband, Mike Jones); therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Evelyn Greenwalt; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Evelyn Greenwalt as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
