SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Carl Eldreth Timmins, who passed away on
4 December 29, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Carl Eldreth Timmins was born June 12, 1931, in
6 Deer Trail, Colorado, to Charles and Florence (Bliss) Timmins;
7 he was the eldest of eight children; Carl married Mae Sleen
8 (Williams) Timmins on September 16, 1951; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was a Scout Executive with the Boy Scouts of
10 America, retiring from the former Piasa Bird Council in Wood
11 River; he served in the United States Air Force for four years;
12 and
 
13     WHEREAS, He held many positions at Whitelaw Avenue Baptist
14 Church and the Rotary Club and volunteered with several other
15 organizations; and
 
16     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife,
17 Mae; and his daughter, Carleen; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Carl Timmins is survived and will be missed by his
19 children and spouses, Keith and Laura Timmins, Ralph Timmins,
20 Tim Timmins, Jerri and Johnny Farris, and Jamie and Michael

1 Toolen Jr.; his 12 grandchildren and three spouses, Jennifer
2 and Randy, Samuel, Daniel, Jessica and Stephen, Phillip, Joshua
3 and Jeni, Tyler, Michelle, Trisha, Jacob, Michael III, and
4 Mitchell; and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Owen;
5 therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 his family and friends, the passing of Carl Timmins; and be it
9 further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Carl Timmins as a symbol of our
12 sincere sympathy.
