SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stanley Peter Skarbalus of Gurnee, who passed away on December 7, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born March 17, 1942 in Waukegan to Susanne (Yankus) and Peter Skarbalus; he grew up in North Chicago, and attended Holy Family School and North Chicago Community High School, class of 1960; he later joined the Marine Corps Reserves and retired from AirCon Heating and Cooling in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Skarbalus; his sister, Patricia Skarbalus Kempf; and his stepfather, Rudolph Cepon; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Skarbalus is survived by his wife, Jean Skarbalus; his sons, John (Dawn) Skarbalus and Gregory (Terry) Skarbalus; his stepson, Kurt (Pam) Marth; his mother, Susanne Cepon; and his sister, Mary Anne Jones; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Owen, Sydney, Bailey, and Abigail Skarbalus, and Brett and Emily Marth; there are many nieces and nephews who will miss their "Uncle Butch"; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Stanley Peter Skarbalus; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stanley Peter Skarbalus as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
