SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Ross Alan Kitchen of Marengo, who passed
4 away on December 28, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born September 13, 1936, in Belvidere, to
6 the late Clifford and Hazel (Hyde) Kitchen; on October 27,
7 1957, in Marengo, he married Shirley Pinnow; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He was a United States Navy veteran and a Marengo
9 Fire Department fire chief for 35 years out of his 45-year
10 career, retiring in 2005; he retired from Chrysler in Belvidere
11 after 25 years of service as fire marshal; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was a member of the Marengo Economic
13 Development Commission, a member of the Northern Illinois Fire
14 Museum, a former McHenry County Board member, a McHenry County
15 Republican precinct committeeman, and a past little league
16 coach for many years; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger;
18 and his grandson, Andrew Richardson; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Ross Alan Kitchen is survived by his wife of 52
20 years, Shirley; his four daughters, Michelle "Micki" (Jeffrey)

1 Bush, Jill Bauman, Susan Carmichael, and Allison "Ali" (James)
2 Limbaugh; his 10 grandchildren, Jay, Adam (Celicia) Cassel,
3 Maxwell Ross Bush, Megan, Zachary, and Molly Richardson,
4 Jessica Carmichael, and Jesse, Cody, and Samuel Limbaugh; and
5 his great-granddaughter, Kiersea Cassel; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 his family and friends, the passing of Ross Alan Kitchen; and
9 be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Ross Alan Kitchen as a symbol of our
12 sincere sympathy.
