SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joan Bickham of Waukegan, who passed away on October 12, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Joan Bickham was born on June 27, 1929, in Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident of Waukegan; she married John Richard Bickham on February 18, 1950; and

WHEREAS, Joan Bickham enjoyed her many photos and collectables and loved to read; and

WHEREAS, Joan Bickham was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rich; her parents, John and Franc (nee Barron) Darrow; and her sisters, Mildred Darrow, Margaret McDermott, and Laurie McGuire; and

WHEREAS, Joan Bickham is survived by her children, Laurie (Paul) Hendley, Sue Sedar, Scott (Patty) Bickham, and Joan (Bill) Flament; her grandchildren, Kristen (Tim Cramer) Lockwood, Chris and Drew Sedar, Katie, Matt, and Molly Bickham, Amber (Don Morin) Flament, and Ashley and Joshua Flament; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Joan Bickham; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joan Bickham as an expression of our sympathy.
