SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of James R. Coppert of Plainfield, who
4 passed away on November 1, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, James Coppert was born on November 10, 1930; he
6 was raised in St. Charles; and
 
7     WHEREAS, James Coppert served his country with pride and
8 distinction as a paratrooper with the United States Air Force;
9 and
 
10     WHEREAS, James Coppert retired from Crane-Kemlite Company
11 in 1992 after 20 years of dedicated service; and
 
12     WHEREAS, James Coppert was preceded in death by his beloved
13 first wife, Alice M. Coppert, and his siblings, Betty Kobel,
14 Don Coppert, and Bob Coppert; and
 
15     WHEREAS, James Coppert is survived by his loving wife of 18
16 years, D'Ann Coppert; his devoted children, Michael P. (Milana)
17 Coppert, Kimberly A. (James) Wood, and Stacey L. (Larry)
18 Surinak; his grandchildren, Jordan Coppert, David and Sara
19 Paulson, Bryan Fortenberry, and Kristen and Ashley Surinak; his
20 great-grandson, Cameron Paulson; his step-children, Vincent D.

1 (Jang Mi) Johnson and Victoria D. (Alex) Miller; his
2 step-grandchildren, Alexander Johnson and Jacob and Aidan
3 Miller; his brother, Roland (Cindy) Coppert; and his many
4 nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7 his family and friends, the passing of James R. Coppert; and be
8 it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of James Coppert as an expression of
11 our sympathy.
