SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Fred C. Hlousek of Venice, Florida, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on September 23, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Fred Hlousek served his country with pride and distinction as a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 129th Infantry of the National Guard during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Fred Hlousek was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 731 in Waukegan and the Fourth Degree Assembly 0197 in Round Lake for 24 years; and

WHEREAS, Fred Hlousek is survived by his beloved wife, Amalie; his children, Sandy Gedridge, Melanie Snider, Fred (Joyce) Hlousek, Jr., Robert (Gloria) Hlousek, Mary Beth Smith, Ted (Mary) Soenksen, and Trudy (Joe) Valente; his niece, Jackie Roepaneck; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Fred C. Hlousek; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Hlousek as an expression of our sympathy.
