SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William J. Carey, formerly of Grayslake, who passed away on July 28, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born on October 2, 1919 in Chicago, to the late Patrick and Jane Carey; and

WHEREAS, He was a decorated veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Frances E. Carey; and

WHEREAS, William Carey is survived by his children, Lynn (Harry Peck) Carey, Pat (Daryl Radebaugh) Carey, Bill (Julie) Carey, Kathy (Bob Ganz) Carey, Clif (Shauna) Carey, Sue (Mike Garrity) Carey, Beth (Mike Medora) Carey, and Lauri (Mike) Stromberg; his 16 grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William Carey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Carey as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
