SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ron Putzell of Itasca, who passed away on January 20, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He moved to Itasca in 1988 and was elected to the Village Board in 1995; and

WHEREAS, He served the Village of Itasca as chairman of the Community Development Committee, the chairman of the Western Access and O'Hare Noise Committee, the village liaison to the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference, and oversaw the development, design, and construction of the Itasca Municipal Complex; and

WHEREAS, He also sat on the board of the Northern DuPage Cable Television Agency (NORDCAT); he was the owner of Data Cable Service, Incorporated, in Northlake; and

WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Itasca Country Club; he was also a member of the Itasca Lions Club and Saint Luke's Church; and

WHEREAS, Don Putzell is survived by his wife, Barbara; and his daughter, Lara; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Don Putzell; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Don Putzell as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
