SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Ann Ward, who passed away on September 27, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ward was a member of the Will County Farm Bureau Board and the Will County Farm Bureau Woman's Committee; she was also a board member and volunteer at the Sunny Hill Skilled Rehab Center and the Catholic Woman's League; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ward enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at her lake house; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ward was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Clark; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ward is survived by her husband of 50 years, Daniel R. Ward; her children, Jennifer Scharf, Daniel A. Ward, Mary Susan (Tim) Slattery, Thomas (Kimberly) Ward, and Anne (Jeff) Sieben; her grandchildren, Kathryn, Sara, and Thomas Johns, Adam Scharf, Amanda and Ashley Ward, Erin, Danny, and Quinn Slattery, Jacob and Rachel Ward, and Patrick and Hallie Sieben; her sister, Nancy (Rich) McGrath; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Ann Ward; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Ann Ward as an expression of our sympathy.
