SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty Young of Peoria, who passed away on September 22, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Betty Young was born on July 26, 1925 in Galesburg; her parents were William T. and Pearl (Friend) Dutton; she married Harold G. Young on October 10, 1943 in San Bernardino, California; and

WHEREAS, Betty Young attended school at Knox College; she was a 50-year member of the Galesburg Chapter 235 of the Order of Eastern Star; and

WHEREAS, Betty Young was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and

WHEREAS, Betty Young is survived by her daughter, Helen J. Young; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Betty Young; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Young as an expression of our sympathy.
