SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Brian John "BJ" Elsasser II of Princeville, who passed away on July 24, 2009; and

WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser was born on July 13, 1992; he was the son of Brian John and Mary Beth Menold Elsasser; and

WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser attended Princeville High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the Future Farmers of America; and

WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser worked for Economy Builders in Princeville during the summer months; and

WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser was a member of the Sheridan Road Apostolic Christian Church, where he was an active member of the church young people's group; he was a very spiritual young man who was involved in his church; and

WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Elsasser and William Menold; and his uncles, Duane Menold, Dale Zimmerman, Mark Elsasser, and Steve Elsasser; and

WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser is survived by his parents; his brothers, Jeremy Gray and Michel Elsasser; his sisters, Jamie (Matt) Gray-Palmer, Alexandra Elsasser, and Paige Elsasser; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Menold; his paternal grandmother, Lillian Elsasser; his nephew, Coley Palmer; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Brian John "BJ" Elsasser II; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Brian John Elsasser II as an expression of our sympathy.
