SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Daniel F. Kobilsek of Mendota, who passed
4 away on May 19, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Daniel Kobilsek was born on August 17, 1932 in La
6 Salle; his parents were Frank and Stephanie (Klopcic) Kobilsek;
7 he married Rose Ann Fitzgerald on June 27, 1959 in Dimmick; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Daniel Kobilsek graduated from La Salle-Peru
9 Township High School in 1951 and attended La Salle-Peru-Oglesby
10 Junior College; after college, he served his country with pride
11 and distinction as a member of the United States Army; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Daniel Kobilsek was employed at Caterpillar in
13 Aurora for 32 years until his retirement in 1992; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Daniel Kobilsek was a member of the Holy Cross
15 Church and volunteered on its lawn and garden projects; he was
16 also a member of the Mendota Elks Lodge and the Knights of
17 Columbus; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Daniel Kobilsek was a talented woodworker; his
19 projects were popular items at charity auctions in the Mendota
20 area; and

1     WHEREAS, Daniel Kobilsek is survived by his wife, Rose Ann;
2 his sons, Frank (Anita) Kobilsek, Dan (Amy) Kobilsek, Bill
3 Kobilsek, and Tom Kobilsek; his daughter, Kathy Lang; his
4 grandchildren, Kourtney, Kassidy, and Kaitlyn Kobilsek and
5 Curt Lang; his sister, Fran Larson; and his many nieces and
6 nephews; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 his family and friends, the passing of Daniel F. Kobilsek; and
10 be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Daniel Kobilsek as an expression of
13 our sympathy.
