SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kerry Ann Benassi of Peoria, who passed away on March 23, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Kerry Benassi was born on March 14, 1972 in Nampa, Idaho; she married Alexander Benassi on September 8, 2002 in Santorini, Greece; and

WHEREAS, Kerry Benassi loved to travel; she was a creative and talented photographer and an accomplished yoga practitioner; and

WHEREAS, Kerry Benassi is survived by her husband, Alexander; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia and Lou Benassi; and her beloved cats, Li and Sammi; and

WHEREAS, Kerry Benassi will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a loving and kind person who cared deeply about others and was thoughtful and generous to all; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Kerry Ann Benassi; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kerry Benassi as an expression of our sympathy.
