SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard J. "Dick" White Sr., of Gurnee, who passed away on March 23, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born November 2, 1934 in Waukegan; he was a member and usher at St. Patrick's Church and enjoyed serving as a Cub Scout leader and Little League coach for many years; and

WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army; he retired from Commonwealth Edison after 38 years of service; he enjoyed his hobbies of metal detecting and fishing; and

WHEREAS, Richard White was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary White; his sister-in-law, Barbara White; and his brother-in-law, Elmer Fallos; and

WHEREAS, He was a beloved husband of Ann of 52 years; the loving father of Richard (Carolyn) Jr., Daniel (Laurel), James (Therese), Katherine (David) Lagerstrom, and Teresa (David) Cascarano; the loving grandfather of James (Jamie), Dana (Stefan), Jeffery (Kristina), Jason, Benjamin, Erin, Emily, Sarah, Colin, Zachary, Carl, and Hannah; the dear brother of Robert White and Marylinda (Brian) Snow; his dear-in-laws are Joyce Fallos and John (Sandy) McClure; in addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and he loved his beloved dogs, Molly and Maggie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Richard J. White Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard J. White Sr. as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
