SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Kathleen Louise Delaney of Godfrey, who
4 passed away April 6, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born February 6, 1920, in Alton, the
6 daughter of Gustave Adolph and CeCelia Adeline (Walters)
7 Walter; on October 21, 1940, she married Valentine Joseph
8 Delaney at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton; and
 
9     WHEREAS, She retired from Pepsi Cola in 1989 and was a
10 member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; she enjoyed
11 playing cards, attending plays, and spending time with her
12 grandchildren; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband,
14 Valentine; her parents; her son, Val Joseph Delaney; her
15 brother, Maurice Walter; a brother in infancy, Landolin Walter;
16 and her sisters, Patricia Walter, Mary Boedeker, and Betty
17 Walter; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Kathleen Delaney is survived by her daughter,
19 Patricia Kreider and her husband, Bradley; sons, Michael
20 Delaney and James Delaney and his wife, Vicky; grandchildren,
21 Dee Jones, Mark Delaney, Matthew Tungett, Kathryn Wieckhorst,

1 Christopher Kreider, Nicholas Delaney, and Michael Weller;
2 great-grandchildren, Cole Tungett, Dylan Miller, Emily Weller,
3 Sylas Delaney, Sophie Delaney, Addison Wieckhorst, Connor
4 Wieckhorst, Morgan Ozark, Hannah Jones, and Lane Jones;
5 brother, Victor Walter and his wife, Jean; and sisters-in-law,
6 Imogene Walter and Beverly Delaney; and several nieces and
7 nephews; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10 her family and friends, the passing of Kathleen Delaney; and be
11 it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Kathleen Delaney as a symbol of our
14 sincere sympathy.
