SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harold J. "Hal" Predovich of Naperville, formerly of Mt. Prospect and Plainfield, who passed away on March 21, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Harold Predovich was born on July 8, 1931 in Denver, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, Harold Predovich served his country with pride and distinction as a member of the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1953 to 1956; and

WHEREAS, Harold Predovich retired from United Airlines in 1993 after 35 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Harold Predovich was an active member of his community; he served as the Chairman of the Downtown Redevelopment Commission of Mount Prospect for 25 years and was an active member of St. Raymond de Penafort Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Harold Predovich was the loving husband of Kathleen, nee Evans, Predovich, whom he married on February 9, 1963; the beloved father of Janet (Lee) LaRocque, Mark (Roberta) Predovich, Michael (Brenda) Predovich, Anne-Marie (Tim) Taylor, and Elaine (Jason) Caravello; the adored grandfather of Christie, Cailin, and Adam LaRocque, Tommy and Kerri Predovich, Sarah and Johnathon Predovich, Evyn Grace Taylor, and Lorelei Caravello; the devoted son of the late John J. and Mary Predovich; the dear brother of Nancy (the late Rick) Prevatte and the late Robert J. Predovich; and the fond uncle of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Harold J. "Hal" Predovich; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Predovich as an expression of our sympathy.
