SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Erin Brigid McEldowney, who recently passed away; and

WHEREAS, She was proud to be a St. Cajetan Warrior, a Mother McAuley Mighty Mac, and an Illinois State Red Bird; she was a proud graduate of Mother McAuley High School and Illinois State University College of Nursing; and

WHEREAS, She was the first person to tell others that she had the best family in the world and she spent as much time as possible with her nieces and nephews; she loved to brag about her sisters and the children in her family; and

WHEREAS, Being a true southsider, she loved the Chicago White Sox, Notre Dame University and her Irish heritage; and

WHEREAS, She took her job as a nurse very seriously and was a trusted leader on her floor at Advocate Christ Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Erin McEldowney was the beloved daughter of Terrence J. McEldowney and Kathleen, nee Burns; the loving sister of Moira McEldowney (Kenneth) Welniak, Regina (Scott) Schoeberl, Sheila (Alexander) Lufrano, Kara (Jeffrey) Thomas, Kathleen (John) Broline, and Anne McEldowney; the devoted aunt of Matthew, Kevin, and Brigid Lufrano, Brendan and Kathleen Schoeberl, and Jack and Colin Welniak; the proud godmother of Brigid Mary; the dear niece, cousin, and friend of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Erin McEldowney; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Erin McEldowney as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
