SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Juanita E. "Nita" Pruitt of Carlinville, who passed away on February 21, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born on January 21, 1928, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Frank Watkins and Elizabeth Moore Cameron; she married Harold LaVern Pruitt on October 20, 1944 in Witchita, Kansas; and

WHEREAS, She graduated from North High School in Witchita; she was a homemaker; and she enjoyed collecting dolls and Precious Moments; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Robert Watkins; and

WHEREAS, Juanita Pruitt is survived by her husband, Harold; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Susan Pruitt; her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Jim Suter; her grandchildren, Paul Rutter, Michelle (husband, Wayne) Johnson, Harold (wife, Lynn) Pruitt, and David (wife, Karen) Pruitt; her great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Larry Gulick; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Juanita "Nita" Pruitt; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Juanita Pruitt as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
